I am Bong-woo Lee, President of the National Forensic Service under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea.

It is my great honor and privilege to announce that AFSN & APMLA KOREA 2025 will be jointly hosted by the Asian Forensic Science Network (AFSN), the Asia Pacific Medico-legal Agencies (APMLA), and the Korea Society of Forensic Sciences (KSFS). This prestigious international conference will be held in Incheon, Republic of Korea, from September 15 to 19, 2025.

Under the theme “Inspire Your Forensic Imagination,” this event represents a collaborative initiative among AFSN, which has led the advancement of forensic science across Asia; APMLA, which has strengthened medico-legal cooperation throughout the Asia-Pacific; and KSFS, a driving force behind forensic innovation and development in Korea.

This year is especially meaningful, as it marks the 70th anniversary of the National Forensic Service, further enhancing the significance of hosting this global gathering in Korea.

AFSN & APMLA KOREA 2025 will bring together distinguished forensic science and medico-legal experts from across the region and beyond, providing a valuable opportunity to address current challenges, explore future directions, and share knowledge and expertise.
